AutoCAD 3D file adding extra lines in surface

When I bring in a 3D DWG file to make some bulk edits, FME is adding a lot of extra lines in the surface of the structures, triangulating vertices etc, these remain in a .dwg export. Is there away to clean this up so it presents correctly inside AutoCAD.
