I'm trying to change the default path for the Data Path, but when I do, FME Workbench is telling me that it does not have access to the directory. I'm not sure why it would not have access nor can I find the log file it keeps telling me to look for. Any ideas?

Sorry you're running into this error. Does this occur right when you are changing the path in the settings - or is it rather an error that results from running a workspace with the new path? Would you be able to provide a screenshot of the error and let me know what version of FME you are using?

 

 

I haven't seen this before, but some troubleshooting steps to try might be to check that you have access and read/write privileges on the folder, and that you're using the full path if it is a mapped network drive. Eg. \\\\Server1\\data instead of F:\\data.

We were able to fix the issue by reinstalling FME Workbench.
