I would treat it as a regular upgrade, see

It miiiight be possible to only upgrade the engine part, but I'm not sure it's worth it unless you're restricted to a particular build number and already have the installer lying about.
You could also potentially run both the x86 and the x64 engines on the same pc. It's also described in the link above.Login to the community
