From this Q&A;: Geometry Template, problem getting list attributes when using variable for indices
In fact, I've never used Geometry Template in the XMLTemplater, but I noticed that the GUI of the transformer won't recognize a Geometry Template when testing a solution for the question above. This configuration works as expected, but the property button is still red and the tooltip reports that "GEOM" does not exist.

How is that finding getting along? I face the exact issue right now in 2021.2.5 and 2022.0... Willing to use a Geometry Template I defined, but getting the red cogwheel and an error when running.
Documentation in this is rather sparse.... by the way... lacking an example for instance.

I fell into the trap of 'making a thought-error --> getting undesired behavior from software --> googling said error-message --> finding others with same problem --> believing to be on the right track, error to be in software and not in my implementation...'
After a good nights sleep, I can't see how my initial idea of yesterday could have ever worked...😎
Still strange it reports 'template missing'....
I (tried to) use(d) the Geometry template from the ROOT, to group together features coming into the different sub-templates.... (so referring the different sub-templates from the geometry-template and the geometry-template from the ROOT).
Solved problem now in a different manner with two XMLTemplaters.
Hope to find some time to dive into this a little deeper, to actually get a solution using the geometry-template, and to discover exactly why it was reported missing.

Hello @martinkoch , so glad to hear you figured it out - or kind of did! I have a feeling this could be a bug, but we'd need to have a closer look. I thought at first you could be using an invalid template, but I feel like that would produce a translation error rather than an GUI error.
