What is the meaning of this type of warning: "WARN |Hit data-shattering case"?

The full warning specific to my case is:

 

"WARN  |Hit data-shattering case as 58594 new nodes were created after phase 2, compared to 2344 nodes created after phase 1."

 

I am doing a shape to shape transform with FME desktop 2013sp3 where I use an overlay transformer (line on polygon) to add an attribute to the line.

 

 

It is not stopping anything but I'd like to know what the significance of the warning is.  It is too criptic for me. 

 

 

I've done a search in FMEPEDIA with 2 non related results.  Is there a list of warnings with descriptions anywhere?
