Use Persistent Cache- FME Universal Viewer Vs Data Inspector

Hello,

In FME Universal Viewer, there is an option "Use persistent Cache" available to the user to save data in the local file system for subsequent use, such as in situations in which access to the data is over a low-bandwidth link, access is not available at all or the dataset is very large.

Is this option available in Data Inspector?

Regards

Hi SRG,

If you mean the save dat as button, I am missing it too from the inspector, it would be a shame not to have it in future FME releases (when the viewer is no longer supported)
I am referring to the Options Menu in FME Universal Viewer:

and yes, the save as option and Dynamic Attributes were my favourites as well :-(

Glad to see someone noticed the persistent cache there! We do have plans to add that into the Data Inspector.

We also plan to do the save as as well.  But right now we're busy making the best table view ever for the DI for FME 2013 SP1....
PS:  In the FME 2013 FeatureReader transformer, there is a Persistent Cache option as well.  And with luck, we may add this as an option to all readers in FME 2014 or later...
