I have an IFC File that was exported by Revit. FME triangulates the surfaces as can be seen in the picture. Is there any transformer or parameter option to solve this problem? @DaveAtSafe

Hi @geob,

I believe that the Data Inspector triangulates when displaying the models, but the actual geometry in FME remains in its original form. If you would like to send me a copy of your IFC file, I would be happy to check that out for you.

Hi Dave,

You can find a simple-building.zipIFC File below. Thank you so much for your help

Hi @geob,

Thank you for the file. If you look at the geometry section of the Feature Information window in the Data Inspector, you can see a description of the true geometry, in this case a Solid made of extruded Faces. This is appropriate for IFC data.
