Hi folks,

I have the following error when I run my Workbench project :

2020-04-17 08:05:41| 785.3| 0.0|ERROR |SpatialRelator_15_Output Feature Recorder -1 2147615062(RecorderFactory): File C:\\Apps\\fme\\FME18578_32b\\metafile\\searchEnvelopeNative.fmi could not be opened

2020-04-17 08:05:41| 785.3| 0.0|ERROR |File C:\\Apps\\fme\\FME18578_32b\\metafile\\searchEnvelopeNative.fmi could not be opened

2020-04-17 08:05:41| 785.3| 0.0|ERROR |

I've read some other articles about similar posts here, but I did what was suggested (FME Options > Translation > Log Message Filter and unchecked "log Debug")

I'm using an FME Professional Suite (FME 2018.1.1.1, build 18578 - 32 bits). Even in a 64 bits version, the error message is still there.

You can see that it begins to write datas, but then stop.

The log file is attached and the error messages are line 9611 and after

thank you for any help !

Patrick

Hi @patoche_1s,

Could you try running the workspace with Feature Caching Turned off.

Is the searchEnvelopeNative.fmi file in that folder? If not I would recommend an uninstall and reinstall.

If that does not work could you try and newer build of FME, you can download a newer build from https://www.safe.com/support/downloads/#past-versions

Hope this helps.

Hi @daraghbroderick

The file is in the right folder. You're right, if I turn off the Feature Caching option, it works very good... but I lose the possibility to inspect my data ^_^ Does it mean that, with a computer with more memory, my project could run better ?

Next monday, we will install the 2019 version, I hope it will be good

Thanks for your help ! ^_^

Hi @patoche_1s.

Caching should only be turned on when the workspace is being created to ensure that all the transformers are working correctly, when a workspace is put into production, disable caching. You will still be able to view the data that is written out without Feature Caching turned on.

That could be the case it looks like from the log that your PC has 4GB of RAM while the recommended system requirements are 8GB as seen in this link. https://www.safe.com/fme/tech-specs/

Upgrading to 2019 may help, please be sure to let us know if it does and if there is anything else we can help with.

While running in V2023.2, I just got the same error message from a TestFilter within a custom transformer, that has been in use here for many years.  I too had feature caching enabled when the error occurred.  Turning it off fixed the problem. Wondering why this issue has reappeared in v2023.  Not sure why the error occurs with feature caching turned on?  Any insights on this?
