Changes in attributes

Hi,

Is there a way in FME to detect if there has been a change in the attributes name or if there has been a new added attribute to a source file.  The wokbench is going to be for a scheduled load that will be happening once a month.  But there are times when the data vendor add new attributes to the source file, I want to be able to get an email telling me that there is a new attribute in the source.

Thanks
