Can snap to grid work all the time?

I am using the snap to grid function and it doesn't work sometimes depending on the connection lines location. My workaround is to find a place where it does snap to grid then create an anno and snap the anno to grid near the transformer. I then select both and drag them to the place where the snap to grid wasn't working before.

Hi @guidos. Are you referring to canvas objects such as readers, transformers and writers snapping to the canvas grid?

Can you provide a screenshot for the situation when it doesn't snap?

Hi @guidos,

I have been trying to reproduce your error and I think I understand what you mean.

If you have a very full canvas, lots of transformers and connection lines, and you want to snap an object (e.g. an transformer) to the grid, it will not snap because snapping is prioritized to the connection lines above the grid.

I have also tried it with annotations, but those get snapped on the grid always. Snapping of annotations does not get blocked by other elements. However resizing cannot snap to the grid

Resizing bookmarks also does not snap to the grid, but moving them does.

Snapping always happen from the top left corner.
