Doubts abou FME Integration for ArcGis

The FME integration with ArcGis/ArcMap is used only read and write different formats or it´s possible to use FME transformers in ArcMap?

Transformers can be used if you build "Spatial ETL Tools" and then invoke those from the standard geoprocessing framework (as Tools directly, or inside a Model, or from a Python script).
