Hi all

I have a sketchup model where I need to place one tree at certain xyz points. The thing is I already have the point where the tree need to be placed as shape file and a model of a tree in sketchup.

Has anyone tried replacing a point data set with a sketchup model and then exporting the whole thing as a kml file.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Hi @mitra

Since you a;ready have the point in Shapefile, why don't you just convert that point into KML without going through the conversion into skp format?

Cheers.

Thanks. But I need to replaced the point with sketchup. In other words I want to get x and y from point and give it to sketchup. Then the sketchup of tree would be placed in the point position
