Question

autocad object data

Hi All,

does anyone have experience with importing the 'autocad object data' format? When I open the file in the inspector, I can see the attributes with its values in the table. However, when I open the file in Workbench and just connnect inspectors to them, I do see the attributes but all the values are on <missing>. An AttributeExposer doesn't help. Any ideas?

best regards,

Jelle

Hi Pratap,

thank you for your answer. That is the reader I have been using all the time. What do you mean with 'enable required format attributes'? I can't find an option like that in the reader parameters.

Hi,

You must expose the required Autocad attributes.

You can either do this on the reader, in the format attributes tab, or anywhere useing exposer or just entering the format-attribute name  exactly as you see them in the FeatureInformation panel.

Some, light objectdata, may be lists.

Hello, have you some result with this question? I have similar problem with "autocad map 3d object data" reader

Hi,

in the end, it turned out that the supplier had to change the way of saving the attributes in the DWG file. Unfortunately, I don't know the details how they solved the issue.

'enable required format attributes' means you have to enable the attributes in the FORMAT ATTRIBUTES. Go to reader, right click and select the Properties, you will be having tabs with names general, user attributes and format attributes. enable the object data attributes some thing like extended data or object data
