Possible TestFilter bug

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Hi,

I am using FME2016 1.0.1 Desktop, and have encountered, on random occasions, a strange occurrence with the TestFilter transformer.

I can't replicate it as it only happens randomly, but sometimes, after I have added a couple of tests into the TestFilter, a yellow right-pointing triangle appears on the top section of the transformer as well as coming out of the TestFilter streams. Whenever this happens, the workbench fails when I try to run it.

I then have to delete the TestFilter and recreate it. Usually the second time it is recreated with just with the yellow triangles coming out of the different streams, as expected.

Is this a bug? Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

I'd further add that if you see this again, please snap a screenshot and send that in. Sounds like a bug for sure.

sometimes I experience screen refresh artifacts.

I then move the transformer over the screen edge and the artifact disappears.

Might it be one of those?

Thanks Gio, I'll give that a try next time it happens.

But if it is just a screen refresh issue, it should not cause the workspace to fail!

If you can reproduce this, I would send it to support@safe.com

You are using FME 2016.1.0.1. But was the workspace created using this version or are you adding the TestFilter to a workspace created with an older version of FME. I have seen cases like this before when an older workspace was edited with a newer version of FME.

yes, it would not cause a fail I assume, never tested it, but would be pretty illogical ;).

Then I can not say I ever experienced the described behavior in any transformer.

Reproduce and screenshoot it.
