Question

Shapefile Attributes

I am using the veronoi cell generator to take azimuth data and create sector maps with the output being a shapefile. I right clicked on the writer for the shapefile and selected copy attributes from feature type and chose the input csv file as the feature to copy the attributes from. None of the attributes end up in the shapefile and at this point I am unsure of how to proceed. Any help is appreciated.

You could try right-clicking on the input reader, and choosing duplicate on writer.  This should transfer the desired attribution.

shape file attribute names can only be a certain length.the writer attributes will go green if connected properly - try right clicking the connection and choose 'auto connect attributes'

alternatively, use a different format such as a geodatabase

Hi,

Possibly the attributes are getting 'lost' somewhere in the transformation.

You can use inspection points to find out exactly where this is taking place and take measures (creating lists is a possible way).
