Hi All, we have to import shape files to Smallworld. Shape files are having a spherical coordinate system, where as Smallworld is having a Cylindrical coordinate system, which causing a shift in the feature location. How to overcome this problem using FME. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Just for clarification: do you mean the coordinates are stored as angle, direction and elevation? Or a cylindrical projection with a cartesian coordinate system applied to it?

FME can reproject your data between coordinate systems, either through a Reprojector transformer, or by setting the coordinate system on the Smallworld writer.

Which particular coordinate system is the Shape file currently in, and which particular coordinate system would you like to convert it to for Smallworld?
