How to split multipatch features by height?

Hi,

I am trying to split multipatch objects by height and I am not sure how to do that in FME. The multipatches are buildings and each building has attribution embedded including Height(z value). I am trying to split the building into individual floors by using Height?

I tried different transformers in FME but none really worked and I am not sure what parameters to change within that.

I believe transforming each object into solid and then splitting the floors by height would be a solution. However, I need some help understanding which is best to use.

Can anyone please help me/advise me on what would work best in this case? Should I convert the multipatches into a different 3D format(e.g CAD) that can deal with z splitting?

Many thanks,

Diana

Not so sure about it but I would first try a fan out using the height info and other attributes that are specific for each floor.

Hope this helps
