Question

Is it possible to apply a Photoshop curve (format .acv) to a raster image?

Hi

im trying to find out if its possible to apply a photoshop curve to a large raster data set. the file format of the curve is .acv, which cant be read into FME. I Was wondering if it were possible to convert it into something that can be read in.

Hi @rustyryan,

It doesn't look like we've got support for .acv files right now, and it may be worth posting a new Idea here, as well as a sample curve file and what it does to the raster. Perhaps the community may be able to test it out and see if there's a workaround to read it in. Thanks!

Hi @rustyryan, this is quite late, and I'm not sure if you're still looking into this, but a colleague suggested trying the Datafile reader which can read in any arbitrary file one line at a time, in case you might like to give that a try. Upon revisiting, I'm still not 100% sure what the curve file contains, but I came across some documentation here from Adobe on their file specifications and there's a section on curves.
