Question

FME SERVER IMAP publisher - archive or delete mails

Forum|alt.badge.img

Is there a way to make FME Server move emails to a certain folder or even delete them once they have been read by the IMAP publisher?

There is no such option in the publisher settings. Is there maybe a trick to do the same using a custom transformer?

Hi Jeff,

You could add a second topic to be triggered once your FME process is finished to delete the incoming mail, or am I missing something?

Hi @jeff_konnen,

it is currently not possible to delete emails via the IMAP protocol using FME Server. The IMAP publisher will poll your inbox at the given interval for new unread or all unread emails and mark them as read once they triggered a notification.

If you think this would be a useful enhancement please add an idea so other people can vote for it: http://fme.ly/ideas

Thanks

Afarid I misunderstood your question....I though the mail are sent to FME Server.

Depending on the mail application used you could set up a rule to move or delete mails.

Unfortunatly there is no way to do it via IMAP with FME Server.
