I am configuring a new installation of FME Server 2017 and have set up a reverse proxy for web access. I have been following this link which is based on FME Server 2015: https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/876/use-a-reverse-proxy-with-fme-server.html

I am at the stage of configuring the email subscriber:

  • Open the Web Admin Interface > Notifications > Subscriptions > Email_JobSuccess > Configure,
  • In the Email Template, replace {urlPrefix} with {ResultPrexfix}.

Under subscriptions I see:

  • DataDownload_Email_JobSuccess
  • JobSubmitter_Email_JobSuccess
  • Migration_Email_JobSuccess

I cannot locate {urlPrefix} in the data download subscription email template, there is however {downloadUrl} - do I need to change this?

Hi @chrisw84,

I think it is not required to change the {downloadUrl} to {urlPrefix} in the data download subscription email in FME Server 2017, as {downloadUrl} contains full path to download the output data as depicted in the attached image.

You can see the values of {urlPrefix} and {downloadUrl} by activating Topic Monitoring for the particular topic (that is how I captured the imaged attached).

FME Server WebUI > Notifications > Topic Monitoring

Knowledge Center article should be updated for FME Server 2017.

I'll take a look at that, unfortunately as we've configured the reverse proxy via https/SSL there is some interference with topic monitoring which I have to take a look at via these links:

https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Server_Documentation/Content/AdminGuide/configuring_for_https.htm?

https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/38124/topic-monitoring-is-not-working-after-configuring.html

Once I get that addressed I'll try your suggestion, but in the meantime it does look like the documentation needs to be updated.
