Question

I am a new FME user. When I try to run a workspace that has been authored by a colleague I get the following error message and the translation terminates. I can save the workspace as a different file name and it will run without error.

It could be a permissions issue, meaning the log file (and probably the workspace file as well) is "owned" by your colleague and you don't have permission to overwrite them. This is an operating system thing though, beyond FME, so you'll need to talk to your IT staff.

This happens when the log folder doesn't exist. Either create the folder or change the log file location.
