Data doesn't align after export from SQL DB to File Geodatabase

Hmm can you expand on 'Next to'?

It definitely sounds like a projection issue. What is the coordinate system? How does the data look in the FME Data inspector before you export it to database with a background map on?

It sounds like a different ellipsoid maybe? This is common when the data are out by around 200 meters or so. ​

Planer distance is .00108 inches between 2 lines.

Coordinate system is NAD 83 State plane.

It looks fine and aligned with background map in data inspector.

Ahh, only a little bit. Hmm - You should check the settings in your output Geodatabase file. If I remember there is something like a precision or grid precision in Geodatabase. I think by default the precision is 0.001 or something like that. I think you can check it in ArcMap or Catalogue, not quite sure where though. It could be that output vertices are being aligned to this grid during output.

You should be able to choose a template Geodatabase to use when writing. In this case you can set the precision as you like it and not have your data rounded.

I couldn't find those settings.

@nikkikaur​  Your source database: "sql DB ". Is this SQL Server or Geodatabase (ArcSDE) on SQL Server (or another database. Can you confirm that the source database is in the same coordinate system as the destination Geodb?
