Question

I am creating a new annotation class in FME(R) 2020.1.2.0 (20200902 - Build 20620 - WIN64) The new annotation class hasn't ArcGIS Pro-format but must be upgraded in Pro. How do I create an annotation class in ArcGIS Pro format?

I am using Esri Geodatabase Reader/Writer

Hi @rosenyberg ,

Can you try this in FME 2021 build 21186+? I came across an issue in our system that is related to writing to an existing ArcGIS Pro Annotation feature class that might be related to what you are experiencing.

Let me know if that helps or if you are still running into issues writing your annotation feature class.

Hi Chris,

thanks for your answer! I downloaded and installed FME(R) 2021.0.0.0 (20201013 - Build 21207 - WIN64) and run my workspace. The resulting annotation class is displayed more correctly in ArcGIS Pro. It is now possible to activate drawing of the annotation geometry and the pop up-functionality is OK. But ArcGIS Pro still wants to upgrade the annotation class when checking with the geoprocessing function Upgrade Dataset:

Best regards,

Rose
