running multiple engines under different users and different architecture modes (64bit and 32bit) on the same machine

I am wondering if it is possible to start multiple engines on the same FME Server machine with

1st: different Users. For example one engine with the local system account, while a second one runs under a domain user which can connect to a file share and a third engine under a different domain user which is able to connect to a certain database.

2nd: different architectures. So that 3 out of 5 Engines run in 64Bit mode while the rest is running in 32bit compatibility mode

I would use those different engines with job routing tags, so that I am able to route a workbench which conatins ESRI Readers to my 32Bit engine or a workbench which needs certain user privileges in our network to the engine which run under this user.

It should be possible to do this, if the engines are situated on different machines, but I would like to know if that kind of setup is possible on exactly the same "all for everything" server box.

Hi,

have you already read this?

Concerning the different users, my general recommendation would be to keep things as simple as possible, especially for maintenance reasons :-)
