The RC of IFC 4.3 is available at:
https://technical.buildingsmart.org/standards/ifc/ifc-schema-specifications/

Would be great to try out the RC already if possible with read and write with FME. Not sure how IFC is implemented vs XML. However with XML you can fairly easy point to an xsd and get a new xml standard within FME. I guess its not as easy to do the same for IFC + XSD ?

Mostly using this towards roads, railway and bridges

What is the status of implementing IFC 4x3? We are starting to get IFC 4.3 deliveries in infrastructure projects, and it would be a value for us not haveing to use other programs to read the files.

Leider unterstützt FME ifc4x3 nur sehr schlecht. Obwohl das Format angeblich gelesen wird, können die Inhalte nicht verarbeitet werden. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht von FME (Safe.com)

IFC 4.3 is now an official release since 04/2024

Is there a roadmap for the integration of IFC 4.3 in FME? We got some projects in pipeline we would like to realise in 4.3

Hello developpers and moderators at #safe

Can we get an update to the IFC support? What are your plans?

Thanks in advance
