Set all user parameter values to default or clear at once

During workspace testing I often use a lot of different parameter values. When I have a certain version ready for deployment or a next iteration, I would like to (re)set all the parameter values at once. This could be to the parameter default values or clear all values.

My suggestion is to add to the Navigator pane:

  • User Parameters (root)
  • Published Parameters (sub)
  • Private Parameters (sub)
  • FME Server Parameters (sub)

right mouse click options:

  • Set all parameter values to Default
  • Clear all parameter values

Also very convenient to be able to do this before (re)publishing to FME Server.

I agree, especially on the part before publishing to Server (maybe that could be an option in the publishing process: "do you want to reset all parameters?"

The number of times I've published to server with a 'default' value set to my test data ....

Yes, that would come in handy. However, sometimes not all parameters need to be reset. If you want to use a default value for a parameter, that one should not be cleared. So maybe a parameter list with check boxes to check the ones you want to clear would be an idea.

I'm reading this as an easy way to switch parameters as a 'set', quickly change a bunch of params between dev/test/prod. It would be a great addition!
