It would be nice to have a desktop notification occur when a workspace has completed running in FME Desktop. That way when a large workspace is running I can navigate away and work on something else until I see the notification without having to go back and check.

In the Windows Control Panel you can set certain sounds to play at certain events, there's a few FME Workbench ones in the list, including Translation Failed (prime candidate for a sad trombone sound) and Translation Succesful.

I really enjoy the idea. I like to use the Terminator transformer. I would really enjoy if i can play the terminator theme each time the translation use this transformer ! 😉
