Reading a feature service can take a while, but getting the data state is valuable if you’re doing change detection or a bulk copy. The ArcGISOnlineConnector does not support download of a feature service item. This idea is for a transformer that uses the asynchronous export capability of hosted feature layers to deliver a download, such as file geodatabase, for downstream processing.
