Not sure why this is not already implemented, but it is something that would be extremely helpful. I use view extents hundreds of times every day.

I want to clarify what I mean by zoom extents: I am proposing we need keyboard shortcuts for both the canvas and Visual Preview.

I much appreciate your interest and help! Just noticed an Idea I submitted a year ago got merged with another related zoom-extents one. While not exactly the same, it is more comprehensive...and 6 years old!
