Source data for buildings and other BIM related objects often comes as wireframes with 3D vertices. For example Microstation Smart solids are read by FME as wireframe data. We often need to recreate true solids or faces in FME for these features to write to BIM formats such as IFC or Sketchup etc.

Great idea, but do make it an import option!

Increasingly receiving models with 'Smart Solids' which have to be reprojected (using snakegrid) and written back to DGN (and other formats) so the ability to write back out to this type would be incredibly useful.

Same here, half of our models are made up of smart solids, which we convert to areas and then meshes, we miss a lot of parts with this process and we are not allowed to change the input so this option would be gamechanger.

Great Idea and a common workflow issue for BIM users, especially trying to send data to revit
