Is it possible to license ArcGIS Pro on a FME Server using a service account that does not have an email (non-UPN account)?

ArcGIS Pro requires an email to license the software for the service account. Once the service account was changed to the UPN format, the FME Web Interface recevied a login failure when logging in using the service account. We have an open case with ESRI, but want to know what other companies did since the account has to be a service account to be used with FME Server and must be used to install and license ArcGIS Pro.

Thank you for the information. We are using an Advance license. The requirement for the email was given incorrectly by our ArcGIS Administrator. After speaking to ESRI Support, they stated that the ArcGIS Pro licensing should have no issues using an ad service account and that the email is not a requirement.

Hi @ronnie.blair,

A lot depends on the licensing type, and how you install ArcGIS Pro. The last example in this document shows a silent install with a concurrent license. With this method, there should be no relationship between the Service Account running FME Server and the installation or licensing account used with ArcGIS Pro. Any account you specify for FME Server should work. If you have specific restrictions in your ArcGIS Pro licensing or installation I'd be happy to look for alternatives.
