Recently text selection in the Text Editor is highlighting characters in a bizarre manner. This happens when I am on a laptop that has multiple monitors attached.

It selects text fine if I am using FME on my laptop screen but when FME is being used on one of the larger monitors, characters disappear whilst highlighting several characters.

Whereas when I select it on laptop screen it looks like this. How it should be.

It also opens up like this without selecting anything

It appears a workaround is to set the monitors and laptop screen all to the same resolution and scaling.

Workable but a little awkward having a 15 inch laptop monitor set to the same as two 24 inch monitors.

I am using windows 10 and FME 2018.1 64 bit

I would also make sure that you have upgraded the display drivers to the latest version. I frequently use separate monitors with differing resolutions, no issues with either FME 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Hi David,

Good suggestion. I will speak to my work's ICT team to see if they can do that
