Hi,

Iam using FME 2019.0.1.0 (20190506 - Build 19253 - WIN64) and I cant find the Menu bar. It seems the menu bar is hidden as I can click on the location where the menu bar is supposed to be and get the menu options.

Since the menu bar is hidden, mouse clicks on the rest of the application have shifted below by few centimetres than where they are displayed.

I have tried reinstalling and using different monitors but all with same issue.

On a hunch: can you try switching to full-screen (F11) and back?

Is this a multi-monitor setup (or has it been in the recent past) and is FME not on the primary monitor?

Full-screen mode is even weirder.. i can see the menu but when I click on them, I cant get the menu options.

Yes, this it was a multi-monitor setup when I first installed / started FME 2019. But since then, I have tried single monitor setups, dual monitor setups and even re-installation but got the same results.

FME 2018 works fine though.

Right, it may have remembered that the other monitor was the primary one. If you go into Windows's display settings you should be able to identify your current screen as being the primary one, hopefully that will sort it out.

Hi @ashish_man,

With FME closed, could you try deleting the "Main Window Layout" and "Main Window Position" under the following registry key - which will reset the values to their default value.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Safe Software Inc.\FME Workbench\Window States

Also, are you using a high-DPI monitor? Or a mix of high-DPI and normal DPI monitors?

Restarting your system may resolve this issue as well.

Hi @ashish_man,

Just want to provide you with an update. One of my colleagues has reported this issue when using a high DPI display.

We are currently investigating the issue and looking to find a resolution for it (internal tracking number: FMEDESKTOP-9063).

I will update this post when we have resolved it.

Thank you and apologies that you have encountered this issue.

Hi @andreaatsafe,

Thanks for the update.

I tried the registry deleting method but it did not solve the problem.

Also, I found out that it works fine in Maximize (shift + f11) mode, as hinted by @redgeographics. So I am using it at the moment.

Thanks,

Ashish
