writing ESRI Oracle SDE date attributes (date and month are reversed)

Hi,

 

 

An easy one, I hope, for the ESRI experts :)

 

 

I am writing a date attribute to an Oracle SDE feature class but the month and day are reversed.  The feature class is a new table created via FME.

 

 

So 20121128  appears as 11/28/2012 and not 28/11/2012  e.g. US and not European format

 

 

I tried the DateFormatter without success.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Annette,

 

 

just a wild guess, but maybe you can change the behaviour when you set the date format explicitly in the country settings of your OS.
