Try to test the database connection, is it succesfull?

• Try add the connection by adding new reader and define the connection parameters , then check In Tools -> FME Options -> FME Database Connection you will find your connection.
• Any database connection you add by using reader option it will appear under FME Database Connection .

If it's not working with you do the following >>>

• Try to run FME desktop as admin (Run As Administrator)
