I happened upon your question here, and took a quick look. It looks like we support reading calculated types according to the User Attributes doc, but not writing it yet. There's an internal request for it (FMEENGINE-40087) which doesn't have a schedule yet as there hasn't seemed to be much interest in it. I've created an Idea here if you could upvote it and share your use case. This will help inform development of your interest.
