What does FME stand for? Okay, I know the answer, but do you?

FME is an acronym for: Feature Manipulation Engine

Although, it could just as easily be: Freedom Many Enjoy

As that is the purpose of FME, to give your data freedom to move from any system to any system.

I know that the origin of FME is 'Feature Manipulation Engine', but the correct answer may be that it does not have any specific meaning, since it's just a trademark.

Feverish Memory Eater?

That makes the "FME Lizard" sound like some sort of nightmare monster that sucks your brains out!
