how to set FME to close idle fme.exe?

How can i make fme to close all idle fme.exe that are still in memory after workspacerunner is done?

Actually these fme.exe processes are idle also during workspacerunner. I don't know why fme keeps ignoring them but i would prefer to have them closed if they are not necessary (3 out of 8 fme.exe are actually working. the rest are 0% CPU / 0.3mb used and the PID is the same all the time)

This shouldn't be happening -- we don't keep any fme.exe idle and waiting for work. They must be blocked waiting for something. Can you follow up with support@safe.com and provide the details, especially the workspace that is being run by the workspacerunner?

I have noticed that occasionally when a workspace gets an error or I get an App crash - the fme.exe lingers even if i close FME down. I have had to task kill all fme.exes - then run the workspace again. When the process completes, fme.exe closes as expected.
