Hi,

is there a particular format that you're thinking about?

Be aware that FME uses 3rd part libraries and/or APIs for some formats (notably those by ESRI), and Safe would effectively depend on the libraries to be adapted for Linux by the format "owners" before they could add support to FME.

Hopefully someone from Safe can chime in with some info regarding their plans for Linux.

The list of supported formats on linux-64 looks to be pretty small

see:http://www.safe.com/fme/format-search/

As far as I can tell many "common" formats are not supported.

Current list is:

Autodesk AutoCAD DWF

Autodesk AutoCAD DWG/DXF

Bentley MicroStation Design (V8)

Comma Separated Value (CSV)

Data File

File Copy

FME Feature Store (FFS)

FME Server Configuration

FME Server Repository

FME Server Stream

FME Server Stream (Attribute)

OS (GB) MasterMap
