We are about to install Server for the first time on a dedicated virtual machine. Since our subscription now includes floating Desktop licences, does it cause any problems to have the Desktop licence manager installed on the same box? Thank you

From our experiences with FlexNet License Server I can tell you that it (FlexNet) should not be installed on a virtual machine. Maybe Flexera fixed it since we last tried.

Apart from that, there should be no issue.

Hi @caracadrian, there might be some configurations hurdles to get past to get the floating license working on the cloud but it is definitely feasible. Linking this article here for reference: Create an Inexpensive FME Floating License Server in the Cloud in 15 Minutes
