Formatting a date

Hi,

 

I'm transforming data from a MS Excel spreadsheet into Google KMZ. I've encountered a problem with formatting whereby a date like 05/09/2013 in Excel is ending up as  20130905000000.000 in Google. I've tried using the DateFormatter transformer but without success as I'm not entirely sure how to apply it. Can anyone help? These should UK dates.

Hi,

 

 

if you're not using the latest version of FME (2013 SP2), you will probably have better results using the DateConverter transformer available on the FME Store.

 

 

Using this transformer you should also specify the input date format.
