Need Help with GIS to CAD conversion

Articles should have completed and downloadable workspaces to explore the workflow as well.

For the coordinate systems, it might be a good idea to check the source file in the Data Inspector with the coordinate system set to ensure that it's showing up in the correct location (comparing with the background maps such as the Stamen terrain). You shouldn't have to set the coordinate system twice (just once on the reader is fine).

Are you using the Autocad DWG/DXF writer or a different one? I believe there should be a writer parameter under Advanced > Coordinate system storage to select how you want to write out the coordinate system information, such as a .prj companion file, or internal WKT for example. Can you confirm that one of those are selected? When you view the output in the data inspector, does it appear in the correct location?

Definitely a projection problem for the location. Lat/long 0,0 is off the coast of Africa.

Make sure you use a reprojector in the project before the write to make sure the data is being projected correctly.

Have you tried inserts? I've always used that option and never had any problems.

in the DWG Writer you could try to set the parameter "Coordinate System Storrage" to "Internal WKT". See attached screenshot.

Thank you! That worked as far as now the output has the appropriately assigned coordinate system that is read by the software. I ended up using your tip first, but thank you also to @jlbaker2779​  for responses . Now, I will look into the articles provided by @jovitaatsafe​ for help with the attributes.
