Question

Verifying credentials in the Salesforce Writer

Our salesforce writer credentials need to be updated as a workspace is moved between environments, there doesn't seem to be any easy way of verifying that the values copied and pasted are correct without running the workspace

Any suggestions?

well *cough* you could temporally create a user parameter out of the password field.

Are you more wondering if there is a way to validate or verify? because that would be pretty handy. Seems like there should be a web connection here anyway. Weird.

Yes, we can parameterise and fetch the parameters into plain text but something that didn't involve actually editing the workspace would be nice. There's a password and a security token which are both password type fields

The salesforce connector uses a web connection but the reader and writer don't unfortunately.
