we are testing on FME Desktop to extract data (parameters or attributes) from different file formats to MS Excel output.Want to know the procedure how we can extract that data. Also want to know the list of File formats which supports FME to extract

  1. To know the process of Reading and Writing the data. (output to MS Excel)
  2. List of Formats where FME can support Read and Write the data.

#2 is the easiest to answer: https://www.safe.com/fme/formats-matrix/#! shows a list of currently supported formats per FME edition and platform.

#1 is more difficult, as it's a very general question. But in short you would add a reader for the input format and a writer to Excel. You can have the Excel writer copy the attribute structure of your input data.

My recommendation would be to go through the Integrate Data with the FME Platform modules in the FME Academy to get a good idea of what's involved.
