Fitview when writing to microstation dgn

Unfortunately, this functionality is not available in FME's Microstation DGN writers to set the display. We have an outstanding enhancement request to add this capability (FMEENGINE-9952). I will notify here when it is available.

Currently when you write to DGN and display it in Microstation, the display settings come from the seed file - which it sounds like you have been able to work around this by setting a Microstation macro to dynamically adjust the view.

In the meantime I'll stick to my microstation macro (or initalliy create many seed files)

It is an issue that has been in our development queue for a while, and we have not had many requests for this functionality - so unfortunately I do not have a timeline for this to be implemented.

Thank you for your check-in! I've confirmed that we have a ticket open for our development team to consider this (internal reference: FMEENGINE-9952). While we can’t promise the addition of this functionality just yet, our team recognizes the interest from the FME community and will investigate to determine if it's technically possible. However, due to competing priorities, we don't suspect any updates for about another year. I can comment on this post once there’s any update on it!
