I really like the FeatureWriter Transformer but I think there are two important features that are currently missing:

+16I just discovered this and am amazed that there's no easy way to update a FeatureWriter feature schema (e.g. from an updated DB table definition).
Also, being able to expand a FeatureWriter input port and see the connected attributes is a key missing feature.
+16*bump* Still no update on this?
This Idea is now 5 years old and the FeatureWriter transformer still doesn't have basic capabilities of the standard Writer....
