Auto attaching transformer to a link is a great feature. But while moving multiple transformers some of them they attach to links without such intension. If not noticed it create a lot of problems.

If you just hold down the shift key when you drag then they won’t auto connect.

Holding down shift in older versions of FME (pre-2024 I think) would simply disable the auto-connect. In 2024 and newer the behaviour has changed a bit so that it also constrains movement to align with adjacent transformers. In some cases this can be useful but I prefer the old behaviour.

Hi ​@mariuszwojcikgb, you can control this behaviour by going into FME Options > Workbench >  Transformer Options > Use Drag-and-Insert Transformers.
