PostGIS database connection I havent been able to connect to the database for the training session. Im currently using the 2021 version, do I have to use the 2022 version?

Hello @williamlin98​, sorry to hear that. Can I confirm you are using the connection details posted here:

FME PostGIS database connection informationIf that is not working, it is likely there is a network issue preventing you from being able to access the database. The FME version should not be relevant. You might want to try the troubleshooting tips posted here. Those include:

  • Disconnecting from a VPN
  • Rebooting your machine

Yes I am currently using those exact details.

The error message is "Failed to obtain any schemas from reader 'POSTGIS' from 1 datasets. This may be due to invlaid datasets or format accessibility...etc"

Hi @williamlin98​: have you had any luck with this? I also tested the connection and successfully connected. If you're still having issues, can you please let us know which OS you are using (Windows, MacOS, Linux)? At what point are you triggering this error (i.e. when you Test the connection, or when you're selecting a table to read in, etc.)? Could you provide the entire error message/log?
