I started using FME in 2002 and Don was the trainer for my fist training class. I’ve never had the opportunity to attend the Safe Software conference. But I’d love to.

It would be the perfect opportunity to expand my network of contact, and develop my skills in this platform that provides super powers to honest workers.

Thanks for the contest! :)

Just started my FME journey as a GIS Analyst. Would love to see how other fellow GIS analysts are using FME to expand their capabilities and become a FME+GIS wizard!

I’ve never been able to attend, but would love to!  I’ve been using FME since about 2002 and it has become a critical part of our Asset Management system.

I have been using FME for about three years and have greatly enjoyed learning how to solve problems with it. However, being the only person on my team who uses it can feel isolating. I would love the opportunity to meet others who also use FME and to introduce a colleague to it.

I haven’t ever been able to attend. But I live close by, and as time goes by FME is becoming more and more of a secret weapon. Exciting to see what is new and how to better use this amazing set of tools.

In last UC in Vancouver, I remember everyone posing for a photo with the FME socks, including Don and Dale 😎

Nice times

My first time going to the Conference was back in 2022 (It was supposed to be 2020 but you know). Anyway, I went with a fellow FME enthusiast and as a way to remember our time there, we wanted to take a pic with the marquee sign on stage. I thought it would be fun to stand between the letters instead of in front of it and i tried to go to the back but little did I know the letters were at the end of the back of the stage. I took a step and fell 6 ft down to the back of the stage! I was pretty bruised and had a limp for the rest of the conference. Good times!!! Also, turned out it wasn’t a good idea since you cant see me in the U! LMAO

I won’t be winning any tickets… because I’ll be there and I’m so excited to see everyone else too! I’m looking forward to the Advanced Automations course I’m teaching with the help of some superb Safers, connecting with Safers and FME enthusiasts, and seeing all the cool projects everyone has been creating with FME! 🤠

PS. I love these pictures from previous conferences! 😍

Does the smell of fresh baked cookies at training and World tour road shows back in the 2000’s count? Nothing better. I attended the full UC in 2014 in Vancouver and was scuttled for the 2020 one. It’s always great to be in a room full of people that understand what you do plus loads of learning opportunities. The food was also fantastic at the 2014 UC!

Having drunk the FME koolaid, an opportunity to attend the uc and meet a whole bunch of like minded peeps would be amazing. Picture me at the Greenwich meridian last year

The 2022 UC in beautiful Vancouver was great. I spent (too much) time rescuing Zipster from the claw machine.

Haven’t had the opportunity to attend yet so this would be a great first experience! I’ve been using FME since 2019 for various GIS tasks.

I’ve yet to attend the The Peak, but my first FME conference was back in 2019 when I joined up with a few college GIS friends at Texas A&M and took a trip down to Houston for the annual RoadShow. Talking with Dale and seeing ever-improving advancements that were being made year after year kept me invested through college and into my career where I now use it every day. I have a deep appreciation for FME’s ability to make GIS better and would love to see how I can further take advantage of those incredible tools!

I haven't had the chance to attend a Safe Software conference yet, but It would be an amazing opportunity to experience The Peak 2025 in Seattle! 🌟

I've heard so many great things about the inspiring sessions and the vibrant community. As someone who's passionate about data integration and GIS, I believe this conference would be an incredible opportunity to connect with the wider global FME community!

I have been using FME pretty much every day for about 7 years and have to say: it brings me joy! There is no other product in my toolkit that comes with this level of reliability, intuitive use, flexibility and enthusiastic community support. I love how FME allows me to develop off-the-cuff ideas into complex solutions by grabbing a few transformers and putting them together like Legos, then watch the FME magic take over.

I have to wonder whether the combination of visual - my workspaces can get colorful! - and intellectual, when designing workspaces, taps into some left brain/right brain superpowers because I have much better ideas when working in FME than when writing code. Even when things don't work out as planned, nothing goes to waste, and the assembled Legos are set aside for future use.

And yet, it's quite likely I'm merely scraping the surface of the FME universe. Getting some nudges from peers and sharing some notes with others would be the key to taking things to the next level.

What happened to "what goes at FMEUC stays at FMEUC"?

Safe has always fostered a sense of community and nerdy fun, and the conferences are no different.

Definitely some Polaroid moments over the years, such as wearing a superhero cape, competing in FME Idol, posing for a group photo at the Whistler Roundhouse, and participating in a client advisory session that made a real difference in product direction.

However, my best memories are of deep conversations with Safers and with other users. So many faces and names come immediately to mind and I'm sure I'm forgetting so many more. Ulf, Hans, SRG, Peter, David, Don, Dale, Dmitri, Lena, Tom, Stewart, Dan, Fil, Ryan, Craig, Mark, Graeme...  Nowhere else have I experienced such a passionate community and had such direct access to company leadership, product managers, technical experts and innovative clients.

I've been away from a "doing" role for more than a decade and now enjoy watching as my teams learn and super-charge their creativity using FME. Hoping that Safe chooses to come back to the Vancouver area for the next large conference or re-establish the mini conferences (Nanaimo has a great conference center!) so they can attend!

I am quite new here. I have been using FME for about 3 years. But since I started I use it almost every day. I learn everything by myself and I realize every day new strengths of this tool. So it would be an amazing opportunity to experience The Peak 2025 in Seattle! I am from Czech republic by the way and visit Seattle would be a great trip too. 😍

Before FME, I thought data transformation meant staring at spreadsheets until something worked. Now I feel like I’ve unlocked a data superpower! Since joining the FME community recently— and especially during the Balloon Challenge—I’ve realized how brilliant, creative, and fun this group is.

The Peak 2025 would be my chance to meet these amazing minds in person, learn from the best, and take my skills to the next level. Plus, who wouldn’t want to geek out over data in Seattle?

I’ve been working with FME almost daily for the past five years, and it has become an indispensable tool in my work. The intuitive interface and large set of transformers allow me to quickly build and reuse workspaces, making my tasks more efficient and enjoyable. Every week, I discover new ways to optimize my processes and learn something new, which keeps me constantly engaged and motivated.

Attending the FME Convention in Seattle would be a great opportunity for me to advance my knowledge and skills. I would love to meet other users, exchange ideas, skills, learn from their experiences, and share some of my own. I want to become the best FME user I can be and attending also allow me to contribute my own insights and knowledge to the community.

Additionally, visiting Seattle sounds like a great trip!

So many great memories from previous conventions! Interesting talks, fantastic atmosphere, engaging discussions and learning so much :-)

2014: Dale opening the Partner summit, setting the tone with Lizard in zen-mode

2014: Don opening the UC, surely name-dropping XML

2017: Ready for the UC to start

2017: Was super proud to receive these awards

Grateful for Safe organizing these events that have been a big part of my FME journey! :-)

I am new to FME. A friend advised me to use it, and I quickly started integrating FME and FME Flow into my organization. I found that FME works very well with ArcGIS Enterprise, and I particularly appreciate the automation capabilities that FME Flow offers.

I discovered FME three years ago while working with Waterway data, and since then, I’ve used it for almost everything! As a newbie, I had the privilege of visiting The Peak in Bonn, and now, with experience comes new responsibility — just as Uncle Ben said. Attending The Peak 2025 in Seattle would be an incredible opportunity to explore new use cases, connect with the community, and visit the States for the first time since I’m from Belgium. I’d love to be part of it!
