Eligibility:
To be eligible for this Contest, a contestant must be over the age of majority within their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry. Contestants in jurisdictions where these types of contests are prohibited by law, or where a license is required, are not eligible. Employees of Safe Software Inc. ("Safe") and their household members are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
Contest Period:
The “Contest Period” begins on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time and ends on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Entries received after the close of the Contest Period will not be eligible.
How to Enter:
- Login to your FME Community account or sign up for a free FME Account if you are not yet a registered user at community.safe.com.
- Visit the Question of the Week page and reply to the Question of the Week with a relevant comment. This will give you one (1) entry to the Contest.
- Contestants may include a photograph related to their comment with their reply to the Question of the Week for one (1) additional entry.
No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win.
Maximum of two (2) Contest entries per person. Each responsive post will equal one (1) entry into the Contest. In addition, if you include a photograph of yourself with your post you will receive one (1) additional entry, for a total of two (2) entries.
Prizes Available:
Safe will select one (1) contestant who will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
There is a total of one (1) prize, which includes: two (2) tickets to the Peak of Data and AI 2025 (the “Event”), taking place in Seattle, Washington from May 6, 2025 to May 8, 2025 (approximate value $1390 USD per ticket).
The prize does not include transportation, accommodation, or other related expenses to attend the Event.
The prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or convertible to cash. If Safe is unable to award a prize as described, Safe reserves the right to award a replacement prize of equivalent value in its sole discretion. If the selected contestant already purchased Event tickets prior to the random draw, Safe may, at its sole discretion, offer a refund or allow the selected contestant to transfer their Event tickets to another individual.
Odds:
The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number and timing of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
General Rules:
All entries will be screened by Safe and any entry which Safe deems, in its sole discretion, to be obscene, unlawful, violent, harassing, libelous, or otherwise inappropriate or non-responsive to the Question of the Week will be considered non-eligible and will not be entered into the Contest.
The selected contestant will be contacted via their email address linked to their FME Community account by Wednesday, March 12, 2025. You must respond within seven (7) business days of such notification to receive the prize. If a selected contestant does not respond within this time frame, they may be disqualified and Safe may, in its sole discretion, select another contestant. Safe is not responsible for the failure of a contestant to receive notification, or for our failure to receive a contestant’s response, for any reason whatsoever.
If a selected contestant is unable to attend the Event, Safe may, at its sole discretion, select another contestant.
Before being declared a winner, each selected contestant may be required to sign a standard Release Agreement and Canadian contestants may be required to correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question.
The winner will be announced on the FME Community platform and Safe’s official social media channels.
Allow 4-6 weeks for Event registration after verification of your address and contact information. Safe is not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address and/or telephone number of any contestant.
Safe assumes no responsibility for lost entries, for failure to receive notice of entries, for any failure of the website during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof.
In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an entry, the entry shall be deemed submitted by the “authorized account holder" of the email address associated with the FME Community Account used to enter the Contest. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. A contestant may be requested to provide us with proof that they are the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the potentially winning entry.
By entering this Contest, each contestant expressly consents to Safe, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with their entry for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with Safe’s Privacy Policy. All personal and other information requested by and supplied to Safe for the purpose of the Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate, and in no way misleading. Safe reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any contestant who supplies untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading information.
By entering the Contest, you agree to abide by the Contest Rules and the decisions of Safe, which are final.
Anyone who creates multiple FME Community accounts to enter the Contest, or otherwise violates these Contest rules, may be disqualified. This includes anyone who uses previously created multiple FME Community accounts to make more than the maximum number of entries.
By accepting a prize, you agree that Safe can use your username, name, voice, and/or photograph in any publicity or advertising related to the Contest carried out by Safe without further remuneration, except where required by law.
No more than the stated number of prizes shall be awarded. If, due to an error, there are more claims for prizes than prizes available, then Safe reserves the right to award the prizes through a random drawing of eligible prize claims.
Safe reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the Contest at any time if Safe determines that, for any reason, the Contest cannot be run as originally planned or if there is any other occurrence compromising the fairness or integrity of the Contest.
The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and municipal laws. Void wherever prohibited by law or in jurisdictions that require a license to hold such contests.
